Add API Credentials Permission to Custom Role

This article walks through how to add the permissions for API to a custom role.

Note: By default, API access is given only to Admins.

Note: API must be enabled on the account first to make these additions to custom roles.

Note: API access within Observe.AI means a user is able to either Create, View, or Delete API apps. To learn more about APIs, see our API Documentation.

Enabling API access for Custom Role

1. Have Admin navigate to Settings -> Roles

2. Click on Edit on the custom role wish to add API access to. 

Note: Can only edit Custom Roles. Not Default Roles.

3.  Navigate to the Settings section of the custom role. Check the applicable permissions for API for that custom role next to 'API Credentials'. Options include 'Create, View, Delete'.

4. Save and done!
